The presentation was not heavy on the technical side; more or less a presentation of field problems that could have been avoided with proper design practices and/or resulted from meeting construction deadlines. The presentation was a little too heavy (in my opinion) on discussing the capabilities of the presenters employer. But, that is almost always a problem with letting a supplier speak at a technical forum. Fortunately, the gathering brought together like minded individuals and was a good learning experience for the dozen Cubs present. The lasagna was good too.
Last spring, WFI provided an excellent, non-supplier oriented discussion of actual failure that met the B31.1 design code; a presentation worthy of a detailed post. If there is interest I can see if an outline (or the .ppt) is available for distribution.
